Our Commitment to Accessibility

CoinFlipTool is designed to be usable by as many people as possible, including users who rely on keyboard navigation, screen readers, reduced motion, larger text, or higher contrast. We aim to follow relevant WCAG 2.1 AA guidance where applicable and continue improving accessibility over time.

Goal: To provide an inclusive coin flipping experience that works well with keyboard navigation, screen readers, reduced motion preferences, and other assistive technologies.

Screen Reader Support

CoinFlipTool is built with standards-based screen reader support:

Supported Screen Readers

  • CoinFlipTool uses semantic HTML and ARIA patterns that modern screen readers are built to understand.
  • We don’t certify specific screen reader products at this time; we claim standards compliance rather than product-specific compatibility.
  • If you rely on a screen reader and something doesn’t announce correctly, please let us know via the Contact page.

Screen Reader Features

  • Live announcements for flip results and key actions use a polite status region designed for assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard-only operation for core flows: use Tab/Shift+Tab to move focus, Enter to activate controls, and Escape to close dialogs.
  • Pages use headings and structured HTML to aid reading order and navigation.
  • All support is implemented through web standards rather than screen-reader specific APIs.

Voice Announcements (Audio Feedback)

Voice Announcements provides audio feedback for manual flip results and key application interactions, helping users who benefit from auditory information.

Voice Announcement Features

  • Announces manual coin flip results such as "Heads" or "Tails"
  • Complements screen reader functionality
  • Can be toggled on/off in Settings or using the keyboard shortcut Shift+T

Device Compatibility
